很幸運在昨天(10月14日星期日)有位朋友邀請我一起去欣賞「第九屆海龜島國際爵士音樂節」（자리섬국제재즈페스티벌）。昨天是這三天活動的最後一天。
Luckily a friend invited me to this special event yesterday: the 9th Jarasum International Jazz Festival. Yesterday was the last day of the three-day festival.
海龜島位在首爾東北邊的加平郡（가평）。我從首爾車站（서울역）坐一號地鐵到龍山站（용산）轉搭中央線到上鳳站（상봉），再轉京春線到加平站（가평）下車，車程約一個半小時，而從加平車站走路到會場大約要15分鐘。
Jarasum locates at Gapyeong, northeast of Seoul. I took subway Line 1 from Seoul Station to Yongsan and transferred to Jungang Line until Sangbong, and transferred again to Gyeongchun Line and got off at Gapyeong. The trip took 1.5 hours, and it took 15 minutes from Gapyeong Station to the venue.
海龜島像是一個大公園，一進去就看到一個小舞台，但是主要的舞台在園區裡面。
Jarasum is like a large park. A small staged appeared at the entrance, but the main stages were inside the park.
入口一進來可看到很大面積的太陽能板。
You can see a huge area of solar panels right next to the entrance.
這個音樂節是在戶外，聽眾們席地而坐，因此每個人都帶著毯子，有人也帶帳棚。白天的天氣還很熱，所以我不以為意就沒有帶件外套。等到傍晚五、六點太陽下山後，氣溫急速下降，令人冷的直發抖。
This festival took place outdoors, so the audience sat on the lawn. People brought blankets and tents. The temperature was hot in the day time, so I did not bring a jacket. However, the temperature dropped a lot in the evening. It was really shivery.
海龜島位在漢江上面。
The Jarasum islands are located on Han River.
這場由樂天企業贊助的活動，現場販賣飲食的攤位幾乎都是樂天相關企業。
Lotte was the major sponsor of this festival, so all the vendors were from Lotte business.
下午的表演場地在入口的第一座島上，不需要門票，而傍晚的表演場地在隔壁的島上，需要門票才能進入。一日票的票價是3萬5千韓元。下午的演出包括來自韓國本土、歐洲以及巴西的樂團。在溫暖的陽光底下，聽眾們坐著或躺著享受那奔放熱情的音樂。
The afternoon program took place on the first island after the entrance. The show was free. The evening program was held in the next island, and its one-day ticket cost 35,000 Korean won. The afternoon performers included groups from Korea, Europe and Brazil. The audience sat or lay on the blankets and enjoyed the unrestrained and passionate music under the warm sunlight.
也有人躺在河邊享受怡人下午。
Some people lay beside the river to enjoy the comfortable afternoon.
另一個舞台在舉辦第六屆國際爵士比賽的決賽，比賽結果在晚上九點揭曉。
Another stage held the 6th Jarasum International Jazz Concours 2012 final competition. The winner was announced at 9pm that night.
晚上的節目五點開始在主舞台「爵士島」舉行，買了票的聽眾全部移師到那裡。第一個出場演出的是來自德國的鋼琴三人演奏樂團Michael Wollny’s [em]。
The evening program started at 5pm on the main stage “Jazz Island”. All audience who bought the tickets moved there. The first performer was Michael Wollny’s [em], a piano trio from Germany.
天色在六點開始變暗了，氣溫也急速下降，當晚氣溫大約在10度左右。
The sky started to become dark around 6pm. The temperature dropped very fast. It was about 10°C that night.
第二個表演團體是來自法國的Kora Jazz Band以及Andy Narell和Cyrille Maillard。Kora是西非的一種豎琴。
The second performer was the Kora Jazz Band feat. Andy Narell & Cyrille Maillard from France. Kora is a West African harp.
第三場演出者包括來自美國的知名爵士鼓手Jimmy Cobb、管風琴手Joey DeFrancesco以及吉他手Larry Coryell。他們三人組成的樂團目前也在歐美巡迴演出。
The performers for the third show included legendary jazz drummer, Jimmy Cobb, jazz organist, Joey DeFrancesco, and jazz guitarist, Larry Coryell. The trio are also on tour in Europe and U.S.A.
我和朋友並沒有待到整場活動結束，我們在聽完三場的演出之後，在九點多便搭乘地鐵回首爾。對我來說這真是一個非常特別的經驗，能夠在遠離都市的戶外聆聽音樂會，實在是一大享受。只是晚間氣溫太冷，我又沒有帶外套，所以冷到有點受不了。走往車站的路上，看見許多人大包小包的提著很多東西，有些人還拖著行李箱，看來大家都準備的很齊全。如果我之後還有機會參加這個音樂節，我也一定會好好準備。
My friend and I did not stay until the end of the festival. We took the subway back to Seoul around 9pm after the three performances. It was a very special experience to me. It was a great pleasure to listen to a concert outdoors and far from the city. However, it was unbearably cold in the evening, and I did not bring a jacket. On the way to the station, we saw many people carrying a lot of things or even suitcases. They seemed to prepare well. If I have the chance to come to this festival again, I will definitely prepare well too.
