If The Sun Shines Again

The title came up to my mind first. I guess I think of the sun more because the weather is getting chilly. Then I started to write a poem with that title.

First I wrote two lines:

If the sun shines again, I’ll paint the colors in the sky: A natural rainbow of human rights, joyful doves of freedom fly.

If I see your smiles again, I’ll sing the songs in your eyes: a melody of truth from your mind, peaceful music of free-will delight.

Then I wrote another one with the same title:

If the sun shines again, I’ll paint a rainbow in the sky.
With the color of love in your eyes, and the brush of joy in your smile.

If the sun shines again, I’ll shed the tears with your light.
With my hands I’ll hold you tight; in my heart I’ll love you ’til I die.
