終章 (エピローグ) Epilogue
This my favorite song of CHAGE & ASKA. The music expresses and loneliness and sadness in such a beautiful melody. This is my first piano video, recorded in 2011 in my flat in Hong Kong.Read More »終章 (エピローグ) Epilogue
Moving life

It’s been more than a month since I joined the new company in Hong Kong. However, I haven’t settled down in Hong Kong. In fact, I am currently doing a project in Taipei. The client is the first company I worked for. It’s funny to work in the same office with old colleagues again.Read More »Moving life
The colors of the autumn in Boston

In two more days, I will be leaving this city where I have so many memories. I studied in Boston University from 2005 to 2007. This is the second time I came back to Boston since I left in 2007. And every time I came back, I have totally different feeling about the city.Read More »The colors of the autumn in Boston
New members in my family

There are two new members joining my big family recently. One is my cousin’s daughter, Emma Jade Gould, born on September 28 in England. Her father is British. The other is my sister’s son, whose name has not be given yet. He was born on October 7 in Taipei. I play with him everyday now.Read More »New members in my family
A real challenge has come
Since my first actuarial job in Nan Shan Life Insurance, working in Hong Kong has been one of my career dreams because Hong Kong has the leading actuarial market in Asia. I never thought that this dream would come true so quickly in this year. It just happened with a phone call from China and an interview in Taipei. I had the interview directly with the boss. He spent more time introducing his team and practice than asking me questions. I think he was already impressed when he first read my resume. The interview just assured him that I am indeed the person he wants. Miraculously, the great opportunity and challenge were acquired through the shortest and simplest interview I’ve ever had in my actuarial career.Read More »A real challenge has come
I need a good luck
Last week really wasn’t my week. My car got towed; my digital camera was broken; I got a ticket for exceeding speed limit in Yamingshan. That’s how my summer ended.Read More »I need a good luck
Dalai Lama’s talk with Paul Cardinal Shan Kuo-Shi

Dalai Lama is having a talk with Paul Cardinal Shan Kuo-Shi this morning at a dinning room on the ninth floor of Kaohsiung Arena. I set my alarm at 5:30am today but woke up at 6:30am. When I arrived at Kaohsiung Arena around 7am, the line was very long already. The tickets started to be given away from 7:30am, and it’s immediately out of ticket after 15 minutes, right at the 15th before me.Read More »Dalai Lama’s talk with Paul Cardinal Shan Kuo-Shi

The Garden Village, where Dalai Lama stays

Dalai Lama stays at the Garden Village (蓮潭國際會館) in Kaohsiung during his visit in Taiwan. He will give a public speech at the conference hall in the hotel tomorrow 2pm. I drove around the area this afternoon and saw police lining outside of the door. I guess Dalai Lama is returning from his visit to the disaster area.Read More »The Garden Village, where Dalai Lama stays

When will Taiwan move on?
The disasters caused by Typhoon Morakto on August 8th in Taiwan shocked the whole world. Many people lost their families and properties. More than 500 people died. It’s the biggest catastrophe in Taiwan’s history. The amount of death could be reduced if the government were alert to the warning in advance.Read More »When will Taiwan move on?
My first song!
I tried to write a song on last weekend. It’s simple. The music will be uploaded here later. I haven’t found a suitable title for it.Read More »My first song!
The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung

The World Games 2009 finally starts in Kaohsiung today! It’s the largest international sports event in Taiwan in the history. I’m so amazed and proud that Kaohsiung has the ability to hold such large event in short time and with limited support from the central government. Kaohsiung indeed gives Taiwan a chance to stand on the world’s stage.Read More »The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung
