我在首爾的第一個秋天

現在韓國人都說一年只剩下兩季了：夏天和冬天。今年春天大概只有兩個星期，天氣就變得很熱。而秋天也是一樣，大概兩個星期舒服的天氣之後，氣溫就很快下降至十度以下。有人說這週的楓葉是開得最美的一週，所以我和朋友便把握機會趁著周末（11月11日星期日）到昌德宮賞楓。掃性的是，當天下雨，樹葉也快被風雨吹打落光了。不過，我們還是幸運地在隔壁的昌慶宮看到大片的紅黃色楓葉。

上週一位韓國朋友從台灣旅遊回來，在桃園機場等待回程班機時遇見一位也去台灣自助旅行的韓國年輕女孩，她說行程原本玩的很盡興，但是在她搭計程車往桃園機場的路上，司機在發現她是韓國人之後，竟然在高速公路上趕她下車，讓她感到非常錯愕與驚恐。我的韓國朋友告訴我這故事之後，我感到非常羞愧與憤怒。
A Korean friend returned from his vacation in Taiwan last week. While waiting for the return flight at the airport, he met a young Korean girl who traveled in Taiwan by herself. She told my friend she had good time in her trip until she was asked to get off the taxi on the highway when the taxi driver found out she is Korean. She felt very shocked and horrified. When my Korean friend told me that story, I felt very ashamed and angry.

Life in Korea

People said it is autumn in Korea now, but I feel it is already winter to me. The temperature is around 5°C, and it is even lower at night. It is been almost 8 months since I moved to Seoul. I enjoy my life here very much. The job is the best in my career. The weather is mild and comfortable. The apartment I live is modern and large. What more can I ask for as a Taiwanese in Korea?

2012年韓國觀光局為推廣觀光，提供外國遊客免費從首爾到全州（전주）和釜山的巴士。因為考試後很想離開首爾出去散散心，我就在出發一週前上網預約到全州的巴士，本來以為已經全部客滿沒座位，沒想到竟然收到email通知說我得到了座位。

Seoul International Fireworks Festival

This annual event took place at Yeouido Hangang Park last night (6 October 2012). The fireworks shows were provided by professional teams from four countries: Italy, China, U.S.A, and Korea. I was very lucky to be invited by a friend to watch the fireworks from his friend’s apartment at Ichon. The view of Yeouido behind Hangang was fantastic, and we were able to stay indoors when the temperature was very low yesterday.
