Free Korean class to foreign residents in Seoul

Seoul Global Center is an organization run by Seoul Metropolitan Government to provide activities and services to foreign residents in Seoul. It offers several kinds of free Korean language classes. The learning objective of the very beginner’s class is about Hanguel and the first few lessons of the textbook. 現在韓國人都說一年只剩下兩季了:夏天和冬天。今年春天大概只有兩個星期,天氣就變得很熱。而秋天也是一樣,大概兩個星期舒服的天氣之後,氣溫就很快下降至十度以下。有人說這週的楓葉是開得最美的一週,所以我和朋友便把握機會趁著周末(11月11日星期日)到昌德宮賞楓。掃性的是,當天下雨,樹葉也快被風雨吹打落光了。不過,我們還是幸運地在隔壁的昌慶宮看到大片的紅黃色楓葉。

Life in Korea

People said it is autumn in Korea now, but I feel it is already winter to me. The temperature is around 5°C, and it is even lower at night. It is been almost 8 months since I moved to Seoul. I enjoy my life here very much. The job is the best in my career. The weather is mild and comfortable. The apartment I live is modern and large. What more can I ask for as a Taiwanese in Korea?

Seoul International Fireworks Festival

This annual event took place at Yeouido Hangang Park last night (6 October 2012). The fireworks shows were provided by professional teams from four countries: Italy, China, U.S.A, and Korea. I was very lucky to be invited by a friend to watch the fireworks from his friend’s apartment at Ichon. The view of Yeouido behind Hangang was fantastic, and we were able to stay indoors when the temperature was very low yesterday.
